Medford Township Public Schools
will soon offer a convenient payment system
called Automatic Replenish. This is optimal for the student whose
lunch spending
varies greatly from day to day. With automatic replenish, when the
student's account
balance goes below a specified amount, another specified amount is
then deposited
into the student's account via credit card. Using "automatic
replenish on low balance",
the student will never run out of money. Conversely, the parent’s
credit card will not be charged until the student's balance goes below
the specified dollar amount.
Up to now, we
have not been able to accept credit card payments due to the various
costs involved. The Café Prepay service was implemented in 2000 to
collect credit
card payments on behalf of school districts nationwide. To get
started, parents simply
sign up online at
www.cafeprepay.com . From there they can find further information
by
clicking on the Frequently Asked Questions link.
Café Prepay’s
popularity has grown with school districts, as well as with
busy parents throughout the country. Many parents who use the service
find it a
convenient alternative to sending money to school with their
children. Others
simply prefer to pay with a credit card or want to pay for all school
fees with one easy payment.
