- 8th Grade Trip to Hershey Park
- When
- 5/31/2024, 6:30 AM – 8:30 PM
HersheyPark: Friday, May 31st, 6:45 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Buses will depart for HersheyPark at 7:00 a.m. sharp. Students should board buses between 6:45 a.m. -6:55 a.m. Get to bed early!
Students must remain in the park for the duration of the trip. When we arrive, all students will begin with a tour of Chocolate World before entering the park. For supervision reasons, students are not permitted to leave the park to visit Chocolate World or Zoo America once they have entered the park.
As guests at Hershey Park, students will be required to abide by all Hershey Park regulations, as well as any school rules that may apply. Events of misconduct may result in the student not participating in other end of the year activities. Show that Panther Pride!
HersheyPark rules require visitors to wear shoes and shirts at all times. Sneakers are recommended due to the amount of walking.
We will arrive back at Memorial at approximately 8:30 pm. Pickup location information will be shared closer to the trip date. The kids will be tired!
What to bring:
Students are responsible for any items they bring. They will be able to leave items on the bus while they are in the park, however they will not have access to the bus once they enter the park.
Sun block, sunglasses, hat and comfortable footwear are recommended.
Lockers MAY be available for rental around the park. Most students opt to carry a small bag/backpack throughout the day. Students should not purchase/win large items since they may not fit on the bus.
Students may carry their inhalers and epi-pens with them while in the park. Any other medication should be given to Nurse G.
Money for food- HersheyPark does not permit outside food or drink. We encourage students to review the dining options on the website to meet their specific needs. From our experience, ONE meal is approximately $15.00. Students will be in the park from about 10:00 am – 5:30 pm. Plus, you can’t go to Hersheypark and skip dessert!
Hersheypark is now cashless, and accepts all major credit cards, debit cards, Hersheypark gift cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay. For guests who may not have credit or debit cards, they can convert cash to prepaid debit cards at the Cash-to-Card kiosks stationed around the park. The prepaid cards are plastic Visa cards and any unused balance can be used anywhere credit/debit cards are accepted. Locations of the kiosks can be found on the website or app.
